Here's Our Story

Matthews & Stephens was founded by Stephen Baskowski in 1992.  He has always been an avid health enthusiast and has surrounded himself with like-minded individuals.  He has a passion for life and living moments in the best health possible.

In 2009 Carrie Lombardi joined Matthews & Stephens Associates. Carrie is a Certified Health Coach and Reiki Practitioner. Through her wellness website and blog she helps educate people on how to achieve optimal health through nutrition and healthy lifestyle strategies. She is also a published author of the cookbook Sweets & Treats: Festive Recipes for the Clean Chocolate Lover.

Melisa Garcia joined Matthews & Stephens Associates in the summer of 2015. Melisa is an active Certified Personal Trainer, instructs multiple Group Fitness genres and volunteers through sharing fitness programs with multiple causes and local organizations.  She is a certified Instructor in Spin, Circuit Training, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, Body Sculpt, Aqua, and several other formats.

We’ve found that by combining our backgrounds in recruiting, health and wellness on a daily basis to be a benefit to us all!  We are a happy healthy group with a commitment to overall fitness and hope that you enjoy our tips and join us on our journey to a heathy workplace!
